CONGRATULATIONS to all of  those who were successful in their 'B' and 'C+' Tests on Sunday 10th November; a very high pass rate, so well done indeed. All those weeks of preparation paid off!
A huge THANK-YOU to Hetty and Charlie Slater for allowing us to use the premises and for all the work they put in to ensure everything was shipshape.

Autumn Hunter Trial
Sunday, 27 October 2013 17:21
A huge thank-you to all who helped in  any way, large or small at our Hunter Trial at Harlton on Sunday. Weather not withstanding, with a most uncompromising start - driving wind and rain - our brave volunteers soldiered on with such cheerfulness and enthusiasm it was amazing! There was a tremendous amount of work involved, both on the day and in  the weeks leading up to it for which I am profoundly grateful. The Hunter Trials would not have been possible without the generous offer of the landowner, Alan Banks, who also so kindly lent us his vehicle to tow all those who got stuck on the day.
Thank-you competitors for braving the early conditions and supporting us. I know conditions were far from ideal first thing!
Let us look forward to next year - we have not been put off!!!!!!
I look forward to seeing many of you at Half-Term.

On behalf of myself and the Branch Committee I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Catherine Monnington as Assistant District Commissioner for Cambridgeshire Hunt Pony Club. Catherine has worked tirelessly and enthusiastically for our Club over these last years and I think is admirably suited to the position. I am sure you will all wish her well in her new role.

Also
It has been really grand to see so many of you out and about representing Cambridgeshire Hunt Pony Club over these last few weeks - from the great display put on at Gransden Show to  the intrepid riders at Isleham cross-country the very next day. Also, a fair contingent of you were at Houghton show-jumping on Sunday,  not to mention our Eventers and those of you  competing in other events. Well done. Remember success does not  come on the day but from all those hours spent in  muddy fields, in the rain, riding sometimes through gritted teeth when you would rather be nice and warm somewhere else. It is the committed practice that comes through in the end, though you always need that bit of luck on the day! If your horse has gone well and you have ridden well, that is really all you can ask for. The winning is the icing on the cake, so   to speak. Enjoy!  Have fun and remember how much we owe to our friend, the horse.

Novice Championships
Tuesday, 27 August 2013 07:48
CONGRATULATIONS  to our Members who rode so well at the Pony Club Novice Championships held at Kelsall in Cheshire this weekend. The dressage team of Lottie Casey on Stylo, Anna Czylok on Pigbush Joker and Heather Musset on Commache Finale rode accurate and fluent tests and  should be well pleased with their performance. The Novice Eventing came to a most exciting conclusion when Lottie Casey on Stylo came 2nd! Many  hearty congratulations to  her but also to the Team trainers who have put so much effort into coaching - Sara Horrell for  Dressage and Val Gingell  for Eventing.
It was a privilege to be able to be there and watch them all.
Well done indeed!
